Car was wrecked – the entire driver side was damaged. They stated they would fix and handle ALL COSTS from repair to the rental car. They kept the car for days to get the body repaired from the damage caused by the tech who crashed into a pole in the parking lot…. and decided to renege their offer because they said that the car wasn’t worth it….. all of a sudden it has a blown head gasket and not worth the body repair. This was untrue and just a way for them to not repair the damages that they promised to cover. Instead of fixing the car, they offered $2500 and to pay the rental car because they said my car wasn’t worth more than that. They only paid for part of the rental, leaving a balance owed, and neither Ramona Tire nor the rental company ever informed me of this and now there is a collection on my credit for the unpaid balance of the car rental. My husband has been trying to reach them to remedy this. We have since come up with the difference to repair the body on the car because $2500 wasn’t nearly enough to fix the mess they caused. By the way, there was never a problem with the head gasket – they LIED. This nightmare started 11 months ago and it is still haunting me with the credit collection which dropped my score by 30 points. I wouldn’t be writing this poor review if they would have just kept their promise – I would have let the accident slide because accidents do happen. I would have let the inconvenience to my life slide if they just would have fixed the car and covered the car rental….. It was their fault after all. I did accept the $2500 and to have the rental covered to walk away even though it was an inconvenience for us to come up with the additional funds to repair the damage THEY CAUSED to the car but now it has damaged my credit!!! I am in utter shock that they will not respond. This is not a stand up company and they are not stand up people
